    Dale:

You are like most all State Farm people, live in your own little State Farm World. Many companies set up motor homes to take claims and make advances. The problem is when other companies paid for WIND DAMAGE to coastal houses, State Farm refused. I have seen State Farm engineer reports where wind was noted as a contributing cause and State Farm denied the claim in its entirity. State Farm adjusters refused to return phone calls. It regularly took 7-10 days and 5-7 phone calls just to get an adjsuter to call an insured back. That is just the State Farm arrogant way. Do it their way or go to court. Hopefully there will be enough punitive danmage cases so it hutys them.

for you. Why is it only State Farm and Nationwoide are named in so many lawsuits versus all the other companies combined. I understand market share affects the numbers, but I know it wouldn\’t be that the the other compaines were paying WIND CLAIMS where State farm and Nationwide were not. And I know you want to satnd up for State Farm practices in Oklahoma from the tornado. Oh me, no flood there.

No, not really. I actually worked for another insurance company before coming to State Farm, so please don\’t make assumptions. And you are incorrect about one thing, the other carriers did not start issuing advances until they learned that we were. I know State Farm got there way before anyone else did and rallied everyone within earshot within our organization to help take care of our policyholders. Funny how you have seen these alleged reports and yet the judge in Mississippi has not has not, becasue Mr. Scruggs won\’t return them. You must be one privilieged individual to get to see such information. And it\’s not arrogance, it being proud of the way your company responded and doing the right thing. If we were SOOOOO arrogant, why is that 98% of our claims have been paid and closed, leaving 2% to ***** and moan about us not paying for things not covered?

Yes, a company of this size does make mistakes, no doubt. What I am saying is that overall, State Farm does the right thing and teaches it\’s agents and claims folks to do the same. But if we were as awful as you insist we are, then why have our customers and vendors rated us as the top insurance company in terms of customers satisfaction, per JD Power??

Fact is, being involved in the insurance business, I have an opportuinty to sometimes see things. But in this case the reports are on the internet for everyone to see. The vast majority of satisfied customers are due to the rate structure b/c of the size of State Farm and their ability provide a lower rate. I bet you are one of the agnets who refuee to open a claim when reported b/c you don\’t see a need. And don\’t tell me it doesn\’t happen b/c I have had it happen to me over a dozen times. And you have ocnveniently ovelooked the FACT that there are punitive judgements in Mississippi and Oklahoma for claims practices.

Didn\’t mean to dominate the board. I just know that our CEO made a call out to all associates within State Farm to do whatever we could do for assist our customers in the gulf region and it irritates me to see State Farm bashed and referred to as arrogant.

Do you have any idea why Mr. Rust gave that directive. Could it be that he was about to be indicted in Mississippi?
