I think I read in one of you other blogs that you sell life/health insurance. Of all the people out there you should have known to read your policy and if you did not understand it go to your agents office and get some answers. Before the storm not after. You are in insurance. Give me a break. Shame on you. Also, stop saying all agents, all companies, all adjusters. You do not know this for a fact and we all can see they are lies. How about the $billions already paid out by the insurance industry to people with covered claims?

Maybe the underlying issue comes down to this…

    1. Home Value = $600,000
    2. Max Coverage under FEMA Flood = $250,000

Being a wise and prudent individual I would see the pointlessness of buying Flood insurance, since in a worse case senario I would still be $350,000 short.

Better to forgo paying the flood premiums and then bellyache about the woes of the insurance industry when my home is ruined. Maybe someone will take pity on me…

What\’s really \”poetic\” is that it\’s my understanding that Barbour was on the committee that decided $250k was the max on the NFIP policy. Is that an \”oops\”?
    I\’m sorry I misunderstood, Kim. I thought
the complaints were coming from people who hadn\’t purchased flood ins but instead wanted the state to rewrite the HO policy.
    Just goes to show !!!

based upon your latest expose, it appears you are a licensed health agent. Not sure, but that appears to be what you are highlighting.

There\’s allot of facts you are missing in your latest onslaught on your dislike of State Farm, liers, and Men.

I\’d love to hear your story: what do you own, who are you insured with, and how were you wronged? Was your property hit with storm surge?

I\’m not trying to belittle, I\’m trying to find out. Also, are you insured with State Farm? What are you doing to pursue your claim further? What was the basis of your property denial?

I\’m sorry you\’ve evidently been surrounded by poor examples of men. When I come across a snake, I don\’t judge them by their gender. I\’ve had the joy of being backstabbed by at least as many females as males; it just makes them backstabbers. So, we shouldn\’t make gender judgements, Unless it\’s about driving, women drivers are the worst, but I digress. Anyway, I know you have an interested audience, the forum is open to you. Thanks.

Insured by State Farm in MS.
State Farm Refused to pay $1.00.
    Denied by water.
Adjuster lied too & I caught him.
State Farm said they would send out another Adjuster, they did not.
No one offered living expenses and when I called to request living expenses,
State Farm Said, Ms David, Your home in uninhabitable because of water.
I said sir, my home is unihabitable because of a Hurricane Called Katrina.
I did not have the time to argue or fight with them, I had to take care of New Orleans too. Meanwhile they are looting one house when I am at another.

You are right, both Men & Women stab people in the back.
Don\’t mean to bash men, but they are bashing me.

    My nickname is Kimi…
    I have nothing to hide.

thanks for giving us some more info on your situation. Obviously, I don\’t know what State Farm has in their file to justify a denial. If they don\’t have their i\’s dotted and t\’s crossed, then you should have strong grounds to have your case reopened.

I am under the assumption you are not letting your claim drop, so if you are on proper legal ground, you should recover. I take no pleasure in hearing about your situation, and wish you a speedy recovery. Good Luck to you. And thanks for sharing.

Thanks, I would appreciate any help.

I was supposed to be in the 639 with Scruggs, but was Shut Out. Lost the same home for the 3rd time. I was notified
after the verdict from Judge Senter. They said they did not receive my contract in time but they would be happy to rep me in the class settlement.
I did not sign a class settlement contract so I requested a release and return the contract. Still, they have not responded.

What is the difference between a dead dog in the street and a dead Lawyer in the street?
They have skid marks in front of the dog.

After this, I called State Farm Corporate Division, to try to Settle Direct.
I even suggested that they open satellite locations where the Policy holder could go direct to the location, Agree, Sign a Release & Leave with a check in their hand. This would resolve this matter and close the book. It would leave the policyholder with a better \”taste in their mouth\” we could all make up and become good neighbors.
If their money went back into the Hands of their Insured, without 1/3 in legal fees, The Insured would be able to build better homes & larger homes which would result in higher premiums that would benefit State Farm.

So State Farm made a mistake. Big Deal.
We can forgive them if they settle and we can all turn the page and move on with our lives.
State Farm said they were unable to do that at this time because they are awaiting Judge Senters Decision because he has requested more Discovery.

Since then, S/F is trying to have Judge Senter recuse from the case.
It seems S/F is still arrogant and they are still trying to wiggle out again.

    Know what really upsets me?
Everyone else has made money from Katrina, except the actual victims of Katrina.
Lawyers, Electricians, Plumbers, Carpenters, Contractors, Building Suppliers, landscapers, everyone except
    the ones who need it.

We are still left outside looking in and still paying insurance premiums and house notes too.

Almost as bad a leaving Anna Nicole\’s dead body in a morgue for 3 weeks.
