While Gov. Barbour may simply see Hood as a political rival (we all know AG really stands for Aspiring Governor), he made the right call.

State Farm is overexposed in Mississippi. They have a 30% market share in the state for homeowners. 30% in any market is too much. If I had a 30% market share in a state enclosed in a plexiglass bubble with no hurricane, earthquake, or hail exposure, I\’d scale back or stop writing new business there too.

SF isn\’t non-renewing its enormous book of business. It\’s simply not adding to it.

SF has a responsibility to its owners. Being a mutual, its owners are its current policyholders in MS and elsewhere. In the Mississippi situation, where courts are \”finding\” coverage that SF did not intend to offer (whether or not you believe they acted poorly, that\’s not the point) and regulators won\’t allow the price change appropriate for the coverage, SF\’s responsibility to its owners is to shut the door.

The Governor will be demagogued by Hood.

I\’m so glad my insurance agency writes no business in Mississippi.

Just one more example of Christ tendency
to think and act like a democrat, Florida should ship him to Miss. , maybe he and their A.G. would REALLY get along. By the way one more insurer just anounced no new business in Florida, A.S.I. is only renewing. By my count that is five since the special legislature. Go Charlie Go.
I wonder if Randy Diamond will ever cover this story.

if i were state farm, i\’d pull out of MS entirely. i\’d start send non-renewal notices on every policy in the state, not just along the coast. see how they like that. simple economics, supply shrinks, demand and price go up.

Wow, a Republican acting like a conservative!!! Haley please call Mitch and let him know the free market system works, even here in Indiana. Is it a coincidence Republicans were most successful when he was chairman?

Why bother to respond or take the comment down?
    Something to Hide?
I pray for more men like
Gene Taylor, Trent Lott and Jim Hood.

These are the men that Fight FOR THE PEOPLE.
We\’re fighting for what we think is right.
    AND
We will Not Be Held Hostage, by you or anyone!

If the USA can afford to spend
$2 Billion per week in Iraq,
FEMA/USA Can Afford to Sell An Umbrella Policy
    To Every American Homeowner,
A Policy that would cover any & all damage caused from
Any Natural Disaster and without exclusion or loopholes
    to trick their own people.

See, You are replaced already !!!!
Good Bye or Adios, See ya.

Gov. Bailey is a good man too, He is a great Leader.
He has already disbursed one grant for his people,
and almost finished the second grant, while LA
has only issued grants to 600 families & still trying.
So, this time we disagree, on this one thing and
We will never agree on everything.
That is called freedom, living in America.
This is not about Democrat or Republican,
or the color of ones skin.
It\’s about a contract that is written to defraud
all of the American People. The people that Trusted You & That Paid You,
    To Financially Protect their homes.

This is not about Flood, FEMA paid 100%.

This is about greed and deception and or a contract written to defraud.
It\’s is about betraying your own clients with dishonesty, I call it Piracy.

It\’s about an Insurance Industry Selling Insurance Policies without Insurance and yet they call theirselves Good Neighbors?

I would rather live alone than have neighbors taking your money then flee.

This is America, Land of the free.
We Paid You to Insure our Homes.
    You offered hurricane deductibles
    but excluded hurricane protection…
    by added calculating exclusions/loopholes.

We have freedom of speech, the press & internet too.

If the truth hurts, then shape up or ship out.

Your Policy is a worthless piece of folded paper in tiny blue print that is written to confuse the your client, The Insured.

Your Clients are not in the Insurance Business, but you are.
Insurance is the Agents Business and the Agent has omitted to inform their clients with an explanation of benefits.

The truth is the Agent is paid by the Insurer to inspect the property for value and to meet Company Regulations for approval.
The Company has many mandated Requirements with Rules & Regulations to protect their own assets…..
Ironic that the Industry does not have any
Regulations or rules that protect the Insured, the paying client that feeds you and your family.

This is what needs to be changed.

We are going to start making some of the rules and If you don\’t like it, then leave the USA.

    Without Us, Homeowners,you have nothing.
    Take your trillions with you.

We\’e licking our wounds with you and we will not loose anything without you.

Looks like the cats out the bag… Meow!
We\’re going to take our power back from you too, even if we have to put signs up that say, LOBBY CLOSED

    It\’s your choice.
    Sell Honest Policy
    or Leave the USA
    Simple as 1, 2, 3.

This type of post is appearing on all web blogs. It seems that it is the \”in\” or \”hip\” thing to do. Anyone who doesn\’t understand them isn\’t \”with it,\” to use some old terms. Of course it does hide the fact that the posters have no point. Either that or they have no facts. This isolated community of the \”in\” crowd speaks only to themselves just as the type of above the masses thinkers always do. Those who can\’t explain, obfuscate. I wish they would learn at least one language, English, Russian or whatever and use it properly.

I\’d almost guarantee that the companies would sell what you refer to as an \”Honest Policy\” if you bleeding liberals would be willing to pay teh \”Honest Price\”.
