Thanks for the help on it. I would say the agent and the son-in-law should have done a better job.

When adjusters come out to inspect / assess a given claimants damaged property, they are supposed to openly and objectively confess to the actual damages that ones are insured for.

This brief note to our office smacks of a large problem at the TWIA management level…
    __________

    \”I am a risk manager and I
have experienced some pretty horrific behavior from TWIA as well.

It is interesting that they try to prove Hurricane force winds in Sabine
Pass, Texas, where Rita made landfall, did not damage the roof on a three
    story building.

They want to call the damage, wind driven rain!!

We are fighting, but it is a real shame the industry as a whole has become
    such mercenaries.\”
    __________

If anyone has a similar story to share with us, please feel free to do so.

You may also want to contact Reggie Warren, Direstor of Claims, at the TWIA.

as for the dock question, there is a frorensice engineer, that specializes in wind and hurricanes, out of Fl that has handled a case just like this and proved the wind did it. His name is Wilber Yazley. I may have spelled his name wrong.

    Duh…Could You Please Define
    \”REPLACEMENT\” ????
It is my understanding that the Insured pays for Replacement.

THE CORRECT TERM WOULD BE FRAUD.
IT\’S THEFT BY FRAUD, & THAT IS A FELONY. A VIOLATION OF THE CONSUMER PROTECTION LAWS.

Excuse Me…but State Farm Has to Pay for Wind Damage ESPECIALLY when there is proof. So please don\’t act like they are so generous in doing us a favor.
It\’s like PEEING ON YOUR LEG AND TELLING YOU IT\’S ONLY WATER.
FACT: Katrina Winds were 100-200 MPH AND HIT LAND 1 TO 4 HRS BEFORE THE WATER…
Hell it blew the roof off the Superdome in New Orleans and whiped out major cities from LA to MS. True to Form, they waited for their Best Friend to arrive, Mr. Water and they blamed all of the damage on the water. Refusing to pay for wind by blaming the water. Shame on all involved with his crime against your fellow American. No wonder other countries don\’t trust us. Look what\’s done to one another. It\’s wrong.
    FEMA SHOULD SELL HURRICANE INS.
WIND AND WATER DAMAGES ALL IN ONE POLICY.

Duh… It could be included in the Thank You note he sent when he thanked them for
    Campaign Contributions?

    Hello Mississippi….

Where are the People with Video Evidence?

They were paid 100%, on the spot!

    Show me the Video’s!!!!!

Where are the Video Tapes ?

    Did Anyone see them?

WLOX was on TV, reporting Katrina Live,
you can see the green grassy knoll….
when Katrina Winds Blew The Roof Off of WLOX Building.

The Newsreporters & Camera men ran for their lives.
Cameras switched to another stuido in the buildingm within minutes, Reporter said, Oh my, we have to go…she was pulling the mic off of her blouse and said, what…what…we lost our roof?
Cameras fell down and they ran like hell!

What more do you need for evidence?

Archives have this In living color with Newsreporters as eye witnesses.
Even if the tapes end up missing…
    Reporters must testify under oath.

I have a copy of the tape.
    The truth will prevail

Send the money and pay our Attorney Fees too.

Sad Times in America. Screwed by our own.

All I can say is AMERICA CRIES!

I would bet on the tapes being shreded.
A lesson taught by President Nixon.
