Sun Man, did you think that comment was so great that you had to post it 3 times? NOT!!! What has Cynthia Mckinney got to do with wind/hurricane claims?
Did you forget to take your medication again?

    Wow,

Did you ever sit around a discussion and listen to people just Blither any ol\’ Garbage out of their mouths, most of which didn\’t make any since, well folks, in reading this thread, I just came to that conclusion.

Wether it is Contract Law, Insurance Law or Politics, Most of you posters are \”Clue-Less\”. (IE: Lacking any understanding of what you are talking about)

I could also infer that they could be jealous of the total \”Ownage\” that State Farm has over the Rest of the companies in this industry.

Or could it be just the effects of a second class education ?

Or could it be that all of you are born Loosers ?

Wow, I just can\’t tell. But BS is BS and, folks it all smells the Same.

How about we try something different, Just for once, you all should talk about something you know a bit about, but something tells me that that would be a very short conversation.

    Niters Folks,
Got to get up early and do it all over again.

    Ty,

    Rocket Man

Catastropohe adjusters do know about Allstate claim settlement conduct, even ex-contractor adjusters.

A testimony by an Allstate claim management insider seems to clearly indicate that Allstate has \’conspired\’ to underpay claims in Texas.

Obviously underpaying claims will help improve a company\’s loss ratio, and increase the potential for higher contingent profits.

All accomplished right under their trusting clients noses…

I just recieved my adjusters liscence, from The Great State of Texas. I have 22 years in construction (framing, roofing, sales & concrete). I am an excellent estimator, and can build anything from a dawg house to a church.

I am having a hard time finding a job in the adjusting field. I know what my angle is now. Imagine having an adjusters liscence, and being a contractor. I am calling Allstate tommorow. You have to change with the times.

    Brooks,

I would not advise calling Allstate if you wish to keep your integrity intact.

After almost 7 years with them and having held a variety of positions, including the sole Quality Evaluator for the entire southern half of Texas, I finally became fed up with their approach to requiring every adjuster to knowingly underpay every claim and left them this past July.

The head of Allstate in Texas – Gary Briggs – had the nerve to stand up in front of an agent\’s meeting last spring and say (QUOTE) \”I love the new HOA+ policy! It doesn\’t cover anything and WE STILL GET TO KEEP THEIR MONEY!\”

I used to tell people whose claim I was handling that \”the good hands of Allstate were right here\” as I held my hands out for them. I could no longer do that in good faith and look myself in the mirror so I left.

One of these days the Texas DOI is going to catch up with their property handling practices and then it will all hit the fan!

    Good luck with anyone else!

    To Kevin Hromas,

(Thank you for your frank exposure of insurance claim settlement practices that are harming people in Texas and elsewhere).

Looks like the insured should pay the adjustor.
But then this saddles the insured with more bills at claim time.
Adjustors need to work for free. But then they\’d be open to bribes. That\’s the way they do it in India, at least they used to. Insurance was a government thing. If you could bribe your adjustor you could get your car insurance claim settled in less than a year.

Highly knowledgable and experienced catastrophe adjusters DO KNOW about Allstate claim settlement conduct, even ex-contractor adjusters know.

A testimony by an Allstate claim management insider seems to clearly indicate that Allstate has \’conspired\’ to underpay claims in Texas…and loves our money.

Obviously underpaying claims will help improve a company\’s loss ratio factor desired by them. (Premium dollars collected minus under-assessing property damage and undisclosed construction procedures, and underpaying claim values = the potential for higher year-end contingent profits.

All accomplished right under (most of)their trusting clients noses…

    I have a better idea.
Pay cash for your house. Don\’t borrow money because they\’ll make you buy insurance.
If something happens to your house build it back yourself.
A friend of mine did that and even after he had a fire he claimed he was still ahead. The third world does it this way and they are doing just fine.

    Take it a step further.

Keep premium dollars given to someone else, and steadily save / invest them for 5-10-40+ years.

Just make sure the home construction is highly flood, wind and fire resistant, and the contents can be (affordably) replaced.

Or, do business with an Insurance Company, that has a truly honorable reputation.

as for the insurance commisioners, in Mississippi George Dale has admitted this has gotten bigger than him and the only recouse is to go to court. Not to mention that the insurance industry contributed $750,000 to his campain last year.

what if it cost more than the face value of both policies (flood & wind) to replace the house. Are these not two seperate contracts, would they not both need to pay?
