James Joins PMA Insurance Group

The PMA Insurance Group announced that Michelle James has joined the company as assistant vice president of Southern Region Claims.

Based out of PMA’s Charlotte office, James will lead the day-to-day operations for all insurance claims-related activities in North Carolina, Georgia, Tennessee, Virginia and Florida.

James has nearly 15 years’ experience in the insurance industry. Prior to joining PMA, she spent 13 years with Travelers, most recently as associate service center manager. She has a specialty in workers’ compensation, and is also experienced with automobile, general liability and property lines of business.

She has also managed claims units concentrating in construction, middle and residual markets as well as a special investigative group. She began her career with Kemper Insurance Company.
