A contract worker at George Bush Intercontinental Airport in Houston has died after falling about 45 feet from the rail system’s elevated tracks.
Houston police say the accident happened Tuesday night as the worker checked the tracks.
Airport spokesman David Hebert on Wednesday said the Bombardier Transportation worker was walking along the line when he lost his footing or something led to his fall.
Hebert says the worker was doing preventative maintenance on the airport’s above-ground train system. The worker was dead at the scene near Terminal C.
The name of the worker wasn’t immediately released.
