Texas Mutual Hires Vice President of Loss Prevention

Texas Mutual Insurance Company, a provider of workers’ compensation insurance, has named Woody Hill its vice president of loss prevention. Hill will oversee the company’s ongoing initiative to deliver strategic workplace safety services that meet each of its 57,000 policyholders’ unique needs.

Woody HillHill has 30 years’ experience in workplace safety and health. He most recently served as vice president of loss control for Employers Compensation Insurance Company in San Francisco, Calif., where he oversaw the company’s safety services in 32 states, developed metrics-driven quality assurance programs and created formal succession plans.

Hill holds a bachelor’s in environmental health and safety from Eastern Kentucky University. His field experience includes work in the oil and gas, mining, contracting and manufacturing industries.

Prior to entering the private sector, Hill served 14 years as an industrial hygienist at the California Division of Occupational Safety and Health. In that role, he partnered with employers to develop workplace safety programs, and he provided compliance guidance on safety and health laws.

Hill is a member of the American Society of Safety Engineers and American Industrial Hygiene Association. He also serves on the loss control committee of the Property and Casualty Insurers Association of America.
