Louisiana State Police say four Avoyelles Parish women are facing charges of insurance fraud and conspiracy after making claims from an accident they said happened on the parking lot of a Simmesport grocery story.
Troopers say Adrian Robertson contacted State Farm Insurance Co. on Feb. 8, filing a claim for an accident she said she had with the driver of another vehicle, Ruby Ivory.
Robertson told the company that she and her four children and Lillie Davis had suffered injuries and had sought medical treatment.
Troopers say Robertson received payment for collision damages.
Ivory also contacted State Farm, claiming that she and her passengers — Ivory’s five children and April Ivory — also had been injured and had sought medical treatment. Troopers say Ruby Ivory received compensation for property damage.
