Okla. Commissioner Declares Emergency Following Deadly Tornadoes

Oklahoma Insurance Commissioner Kim Holland declared a state of emergency following deadly tornadoes over the weekend of May 10-11.

The declaration enables emergency claims adjusters from other states to be temporarily licensed to provide immediate assistance in the insurance claims process.

The severe storms resulted in tornadoes, hail and high winds. The Declaration of Emergency allows for emergency adjusters to be licensed for ninety days and to adjust claims related to the severe storms that occurred on May 10-11.
