The Dallas office of Palmer & Cay reported that Lesa Blaser, vice president of Private Accounts, was awarded the 1st Annual JoAnn Heltibridle Award for Professional Excellence. The award recognizes an outstanding individual in the private client high net worth insurance market and was established to honor the memory of JoAnn Helitbridle, who was tragically killed on Sept. 11, 2001, in the World Trade Center attacks.

The recipient of the award must exhibit the following characteristics: professionalism, in depth knowledge of insurance, passion for the industry, doing the right thing for clients and character.

In commenting on receiving the award, Blaser said, “I am honored to be recognized with such an award and think it is imperative that the values JoAnn portrayed continue to be instilled in professionals throughout the insurance industry. At Palmer & Cay, we take pride in basing our actions on the four principles of the Palmer & Cay Way: Doing the Right Thing, Respecting the Individual, Making Performance Count and Staying Focused on Our People and Our Clients.”

Ross Buchmueller, president of AIG Private Client Group, presented Blaser with the award, which was generously supported by the Fireman’s Fund. The event was held at Barton Creek Resort & Spa, in Austin, Texas.
