The Independent Insurance Agents of San Antonio announced that the Myron F. Steves Insurance Professional Scholarship Program is now available to the association’s members.
In its pledge to “Excellence through Education” the annual Steves Scholarship provides tuition for the full course of study required by the designations of ARM, CPCU, or any other designation administered by the Insurance Institute of America, such as CIC, CRM, CISR, RPLU and ACSR.
Applicants must demonstrate ongoing commitment to continuing education by having previously earned an insurance designation or by regularly attending industry-related seminars.
The award is available to all individuals employed by agent members and affiliate members of the Independent Insurance Agents of San Antonio. The chosen course of study must be completed and the designation obtained within a five-year period beginning Jan. 1, 2005.
Applications and essays are to be mailed to the Independent Insurance Agents of San Antonio at the address below. The deadline for applying is Friday, Sept. 3, 2004. An independent committee of IIASA agent members will review and judge the entrants.The recipient will be announced at the IIASA Annual Installation and Award Luncheon on Thursday, Sept. 16, 2004.
