The Workers’ Health and Safety division of the Texas Workers’ Compensation Commission will present a one-day educational seminar on Supervising for Safety, on Wednesday, April 28, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Registration begins at 7:30 a.m. The seminar will take place at Four Points Sheraton, 3777 North Expressway, Cancun Room, Brownsville. The cost is $90 per person.
In the modern workplace, supervisors, and other members of the management team often wear many hats, including “frontline safety officer”. Without an effective action plan the process of implementing a workplace safety program can be overwhelming. Supervising for Safety will focus on providing supervisors with the tools and information necessary for implementing an effective workplace safety program.
This seminar will provide information on the following topics:
*principles of a safety program;
*job hazard analysis;
*emergency action plans;
*accident investigation;
*safety audit and inspection;
*documentation requirements; and
training requirements.
