“Warming-fueled fires” As any fourth grader can tell you, it takes oxygen, heat, and fuel to have a fire. Fuel fuels fires, not weather or climate. And the buildup of fuels due to a century of fire suppression is the ultimate cause of the increase in destructive wildfires. Climate change just provides more extreme weather days.
weather doesn’t affect fires, Bob? really?
the fuel buildup argument is pure fanatasy. “fuels” decompose over just a few years, and natural fires in the past didn’t burn anywhere near what has been happening in modern times.
and the fallacy of removing fuels is a pretty ridiculous argument. look at the map of the total areas, just in North America, that can be affected by wildfire and you realize it is not possible to remove fuels. that argument is front for logging and other businesses.
