American Well Partners With Corvel to Offer On-Demand Doctor Visits for Workers’ Comp Patients

American Well, a telehealth services provider, announced it is entering the workers’ compensation sector through a strategic partnership with CorVel Corporation, a national provider of risk management solutions. Together the companies will deliver on-demand doctor evaluations for employees with a workplace injury.

American Well’s platform allows workers to be seen immediately, 24/7, through the coordinated care of a CorVel advocacy nurse. American Well’s on-demand, nationwide doctors also have access to more information than they would in a traditional office visit, including medical and prescription history, employer information and return-to-work guidelines.

The company’s full-service telehealth platform includes traditional phone, mobile, smartphone and kiosk-based care delivery.
