Goes to show you that the policy is written to confuse everyone.
We need to stick together on this one.
    I am for USA:Disaster Insurance,
    not just flood.

We must be able to buy a policy that will cover anything that we may need.
We\’ve been paying for a policy that will not cover anything that we may need.

Wake Up America & do something about this.
    You can be next.

    You said it!

    \”Ignorance #1 Money Maker\” =
\”Plead ignorance and the jury will award you millions.\”

    \”Policy written to deceive us\” =
\”I read my policy and did not see the word hurricane, so it must be covered.\”

Oh, wait, that falls under ignorance, also.

Your statement is evidence that the policy is positively written to defraud people.

    The policy is written to protect the Insurer from all possible losses;

I believe they have been so busy adding exclusions & loopholes they forgot the
    original defination of Insurance.
    The overlooked the need:
The reason why, they were paid sums of money
From the beginning of time they were paid to provide financial protection.
We put them where they are in the top 5.
Only to find they have taken our money and our power too.

: the business of insuring property
: a sum that is paid guaranteeing
    protection

The policy is purchased to protect the Insured/homeowner
The policy is written to protect the Insurer/the company
The policy is written to defraud the Insured/homeowner
    The only guarantee in the policy;
An annual rate increase to the Insured
    In addition to additional exclusions,
    deductibles & loop holes.
    as paying above the waterline

    Ex: Auto Policy
If you have a deductible for collission
but find the policy excludes collission?

    What does that spell?
FRAUD + THE INTENT TO DEFRAUD
    PLANNED,CALCULATING,+DECEPTIVE LOOPHOLES.

    Yes, we have been ignorant!

We have optional hurricane deductibles with optional rates: No Benefits

How can you charge extra rates for
    A hurricane deductible
but refuse to provide liability for any damage caused by a hurricane damage.

Insure a diamond but the policy will not
pay if it is lost or damaged.

Buy a $2Million Life Policy but they will not pay if you die.

    This is called, Theft,by Fraud!

YOU CAN HAVE THOSE GOOD NEIGHBORS

    No Good Neighbors!

    \”Fradulent to have a Hurricane Deductible\”

    Oh, bullcrap!

Look, it\’s this simple… In order for the insured to have affordable insurance, the insured takes on more of the financial loss through higher deductibles.

If you want a $500 deductible, as opposed to a $1,000 deductible, you will pay higher premiums.

Now the insurer knows that homes along the coast are more likely to be struck by a hurricane. Since the risk is higher on those properties, so is the insurance premium. Try to insure a home on the coast with a $1,000 deductible for all losses. The premium would be so high you would crap your pants!

Now, stay with me… Since the premiums are so high, and no one can afford insurance on the coast, the insurance companies dedcided to make a deductible that applies only to losses that occur due to hurricane activity (not hurricane coverage). So now you can have your $1,000 deductible for most losses, premiums that don\’t make you crap your pants, and still have some financial protection losses due to hurricane activity.

What do you think insurance is?

I\’ve never seen a claims adjuster fix a house, but I\’ve seen them write lots of checks.

The \”financial protection\” is paying you for unexpected covered losses that may put a hurt on your checkbook if you didn\’t have insurance.

    Unexpected Damage..such as…atomic bomb?
    that is also excluded

How are you going to feel when your E&O carrier does not provide financial protection for you,
Your first claim will be denied and your assets will be lost in a court of law.
Everything you owned will be auctioned by the Sheriff, and you need to pay him and the auctioneers too.
    Why?
You failed to explain the benefits and Exclsuions to your client.
You failed to properly insure the value of the home.
You failed to provide a signed waiver.

You did not attempt or try to offer benefits to clients during the worst disaster in the history of the USA?

Since you know that nuclear explosion is excluded, you must have read your policy.

More things are covered than not.

    Some responses to your statements…
\”You failed to explain the benefits and Exclsuions to your client.\”
**You read the policy. Did you ask any questions?
\”You failed to properly insure the value of the home.\”
**Did you provide the appropriate values of your home including upgrades completed after you purchased the policy?
    \”You failed to provide a signed waiver.\”
**Is that required by Louisiana law?

\”You did not attempt or try to offer benefits to clients during the worst disaster in the history of the USA?\”
**Benifits are provided based on policy coverage. If it\’s covered, it\’s paid. A lot of people got paid.

Keep in mind that not all claims people are not the same. There are different skill levels and after Katrina many fresh independent claims adjusters were hired by all insurance companies.

In any field, errors will be made. The true test of a company is how they handle correcting the errors.

You know this is not about human error,
this is about human deception, betrayal in mankind. While we are a forgiving nation, we do not forget.

This is about how the Industry treated their own clients during the worst natural disaster in history.

This is about what the Industry did and
did not do, to assist their clients.
How the Industry tried to deny claims,
after they were paid large sums, for many years.

No, you\’re wrong. This is about business.

Like it or not, this is not about helping your neighbor, or fellow citizen; it\’s about the business of insurance.

It\’s not about deception or betrayal, even if that\’s what you want to believe. It\’s about paying what is owed under a contract.

If you don\’t like the free market ecconomy we have in this country, get out. Find a socialist country you like, and move there. Don\’t forget to change your citizenship, also. I\’m sure you can find what your looking for… someone to take care of you; to hold your hand; to read and understand the contracts you sign.
