Insurance Systems Inc. (ISI), a software solutions provider to the global insurance industry, announced that a mono-line plate glass insurer in the United States has signed an agreement to implement the WebWriter BackOffice system and a comprehensive internet portal for its national insurance operations.
Established in 1991 and with a head office in Westchester, Illinois and
branches in New York and Florida, USPlate Glass Insurance Company provides specialized glass insurance coverage for commercial markets as well as condominium, hotel and special group packages. USPlate also offers 24-hour emergency claims handling through its affiliate, Massplate Agency.
USPlate has a national network of clients, claims adjusters, glaziers and more than 6,000 brokers which will conduct business through the comprehensive internet portal developed by ISI. The portal allows users to obtain quotations, issue policies as well as file, monitor and adjudicate claims.
The portal is integrated into ISI’s WebWriter BackOffice enterprise
system, a software solution for property and casualty insurers which
facilitates all key back office workflow procedures including accounting, reinsurance and claims.
The design of the system reportedly allows for fast implementation while reducing total cost of ownership by simplifying system administration.
