The Hartford Financial Services Group, Inc. announced that Joseph Boures has been named president of its Specialty Risk Services, Inc. (SRS) subsidiary.
SRS is a property/casualty third-party claim administrator (TPA). As its new president, Boures will oversee all aspects of SRS, including business development, account management and field operations.
“Joe’s expertise in the TPA arena, combined with his recent leadership of The Hartford’s strategic business development activities, make him particularly well-qualified to drive SRS’s continued growth as an integral component of The Hartford’s long-term business strategy,” said Gary Thompson, senior vice president of The Hartford’s Middle Market and Specialty Practices unit, which includes SRS in its portfolio of business. “SRS is a superb organization with a solid track record for quality and customized claim management. It brings great value to its clients, brokers, and carrier partners, as well as to The Hartford.”
Boures joined The Hartford in 2000 as vice president and deputy controller. In 2002, he was named vice president of strategic business development for The Hartford’s property/casualty operation.
Before joining The Hartford, Boures served as vice president and controller with GAB Robins North America, Inc., Parsippany, N.J., a third-party administrator.
