Authorities say a reported explosion involving a battery has injured two people at a General Motors Co. research facility in suburban Detroit, Mich.
City of Warren Fire Chief Dave Frederick says crews were called to the GM Tech Center on Tuesday morning following a report of an explosion involving a lithium battery.
Frederick says two people were taken for treatment and a fire at the facility was put out. He says he didn’t have details about the extent of the injuries.
