About half of the structures in one Ohio River village are among nearly 100 structures in southwest Ohio with major damage after weekend storms.
Clermont County building inspectors say their initial assessment found 47 structures in the village of Moscow have major damage and 54 have minor damage. Homes, businesses and government buildings had roofs torn off and walls crumble when a tornado ripped through the village of more than 200 residents Friday night.
A resident was among three people killed in southwest Ohio.
Inspectors found 287 damaged structures throughout the county and say most need significant repairs. They say 257 will require permits and inspections to determine whether they can safely be occupied again.
No estimate on the cost of the repairs was available.
