An auction company has filed a claim against the city of North Platte over water damage.
The North Platte Livestock Auction Company suffered more than $100,000 in damages following a June rainstorm. The North Platte Telegraph reports that the company is asking the city to cover the costs because the damage came after the city built a dam blocking a drainage ditch south of its location.
The city council will consider the claim at its Tuesday meeting.
