I\’m appalled you ride a HD. Why does every state in the midwest, EXCEPT Michigan, allow riders the freedom of choice to wear a helmet…or not? Because the residents of all those states, plus 30 total of the 50 states, have enlightened representatives who still believe in preserving a modicum of individual freedom.
winnpitt…you are obviously a liberal clone…willing to impose your nearsighted vision of what\’s right for you upon others. Loser!

Wait !!! Just because someone chooses to ride with a helmet they should not be called names. The whole idea/concept is to make the state a free choice state. We as intelligent citizens can make informed decisions about ourselves, and what we wear without insurance companies, and ex governors having an effect on our ability to make that decision. (Did I say ex, let\’s make it happen). Politicians can say that they are liberal or conservative, it really does not matter, their lies that they are concerned about the public good should not matter, their concern for insurance companies’ money is apparent. WE will show what matters on Election Day, REMEMBER TO VOTE in candidates that are stating that they will support our right to freedom. The name calling that really counts – is them calling out the name of a new and supportive governor.

For a second time our dear (sic!), all knowing, (sic!), Guv Jenny has vetoed the motorcycle helmet revision rule. This despite approval of the revision by a large majority of both the MI House and MI Senate.
At a time when MI is last in about every economic category in the country, she continues to ignore the facts, choosing instead to be a pawn of the Insurance Industry.
I am strongly inclined toward becoming one of the swarms of disgusted Michiganders leaving Michigan permanently.
I already do most of my riding, and spending my dollars, in surrounding states (WI, MN, IL, IN, OH & PA) as well as winters in Florida, where mandatory helmet laws have long been eliminated. You bet I don’t wear my helmet in any of those states!
    Thanks for nothing Jenny!

I hope I can get help by contacting someone to get gov. granholms, fbi headquarters in washington dc, and the justice department in washington. MY exhusband is a medical doctor and ran for mayor in the city he fled to after raping our children and drugging us. He has commited so many crimes but his frinds in the legal system continue to protect him and we have lots of evidence being ignored. We need out side of michigan coverage soon

Sorry to hear your troubles. In this great State of Michigan, getting the Governor to do anything that makes sense is impossible. She could boot the mayor out of our biggest city, but won’t, guess why, she and he a democrats.

She vetoed our helmet law a second time, ignoring the money it would bring in with fees and an increase in tourism which would include new jobs.

That’s what we are up against in this State, failed leadership is an understatement.

The FBI stated the ball is being dropped there where two workers fired who did not go along with the system and my DHS psychologist is afraid of loosing her job if she talks. By my ex being a medical doctor and ran for mayor in his county and he plans to run in Detroit no one is listening. a child protective service worker told him what safe house we were in and another stated that he’s to promonate and that they can’t touch him. Well, I’m sorry to hear the problems you are having. Right now I have to say this whole State is a mess and who do we have to thank for the mess. None other than Governor Jenny.

There are far to many cases like yours going on, and who knows when someone will take control. It may be 2 years more before we get rid of Granholm and her administration.

Again I’m sorry you are having trouble and are frustrated.

Have you called the police when any of crazy things are going on, or do they always take place in the other house? If you can get the police to take reports they would be good documentation to take to court. I’m sorry for your pain, I had the same kind when I got a divorce and I lost my 2 girls to a drug abusing, worthless wife.
