A Lunenburg, Mass., car dealer is warning other areas dealerships to be vigilant after thieves made off with $15,000 worth of tires and rims.
Martin Babineau, general manager of North End Subaru Mazda, says the tires and rims were taken off three vehicles last weekend.
He said while the dealership has insurance, the deductible is $1,000 per car.
He tells The Sentinel & Enterprise that all three cars hit have locks on the rims that require a specific key to unlock them for removal, but he doesn’t think it was an inside job.
He says footage from surveillance cameras that surround the lot shows three people working together.
Babineau says he’s installing high-definition cameras and more lights in the lot.
Police are investigating.
