Delaware State Police are looking for a former medical assistant they say has been using a stolen prescription pad to get narcotics illegally.
Police say 38-year-old George Quail of Wilmington is wanted on charges of forgery, insurance fraud and fraudulently obtaining controlled substances.
Cpl. John Day says Quail and others took fake prescriptions to numerous pharmacies in New Castle County earlier this year. He says the forged prescriptions were used to obtain hundreds of pills, mostly Oxycodone and other opiate drugs. Pharmacists alerted authorities to several suspicious prescriptions from the doctor who had employed Quail.
Day says police have arrested several people Quail paid to obtain the narcotics, but they’re still looking for Quail.
Quail may be in the Wilmington area, but police say he also has ties to Pennsylvania.
