A fire at a vacant Providence duplex is being investigated as a probable arson.
Deputy Assistant Chief Paul Thomas tells the Providence Journal that it appears some neighborhood children got into the building and started the fire, which was reported at about 7:40 p.m. on Wednesday.
Thomas says most of the doors and windows to the building had been boarded up. The fire damaged a ceiling and a loft in the duplex.
No arrests have been made.
