Fire officials say lightning sparked a fire in a commercial building in Bradford, Vermont.
The fire was contained to the attic of the Richardson Building, which houses about a half dozen businesses.
Bradford Fire Chief R. Todd Terrill says witnesses reported seeing lightning hit the building Monday morning. He says the lightning then escaped out of the electrical outlets, burning electrical wires.
Terrill says firefighters had the fire out a short time later.
The amount of damage has not been determined.
