Six more people who say they were sexually abused by Dr. George Reardon when they were children are suing the Connecticut hospital where he worked for three decades.
Five men and one woman filed the lawsuit in Superior Court Wednesday against St. Francis Hospital and Medical Center in Hartford, alleging the hospital failed to stop Reardon, failed to adequately supervise him and covered up the abuse.
The hospital is now being sued by 149 people who claimed they were abused by Reardon, who was St. Francis’ chief of endocrinology. He died in 1998.
St. Francis issued a statement saying it can’t comment on pending litigation.
The new lawsuit alleges Reardon molested the plaintiffs and forced one boy to commit a sex act with another boy while Reardon took pictures.
