The owners of a New York diary farm were 104 cows died in a raging barn fire say they plan to rebuild.
The inferno late Thursday night at the North Harbor Dairy in Sackets Harbor did about $285,000 worth of damage and wiped out a herd of young heifers belonging to Nancy and Ronald Robbins.
The family tried to evacuate the cows but could only carry away three calves. Two didn’t survive.
The 10,000-square-foot barn was loaded with hay.
