Now they want to post a \”warning\”???!!! What does that say about our society? We have to be warned that our coffee may be hot and now we have to be warned that a gift based on an agreement may have to be returned if the agreement was terminated. When my parents married… it was FOREVER.
Why is this story even posted on the Insurance Journal? It has nothing to do with anything relevant to insurance. This is just an opportunity for some idiots to trash women. Without knowing why the guy broke the engagement, why do you assume the woman is a gold digger?
Wow- These guys are getting desperate for readers-what\’s next alien claim adjusters take over Pemco? And warnings in jewelry stores? Isn\’t that called a pre-nup?
However both parties should return gifts… I know quite a few men who have asked for the ring back but conveniently forgot to return the items that they were given. (Thank god I didn\’t get engaged to any of them.) If he wanted her to get rid of all her rings so that would be the only ring she owned she should be allowed to keep the ring- there are several ways to exert control over someone- that \’s a new one- but good. I\’ll give him that much.
is the issue here; a classy lady would give it back, and a classy guy wouldn\’t ask for it back. But it\’s REALLY tacky to take out the stone and sell it, that\’s low! But before one buys a diamond, make sure it\’s for the right person and the right reason. You want a contract, get a prenup. There\’s nothing in writing with a rock.

My last marriage ended when I traded my wedding ring to a prostitute. She gave me a good deal….

Wouldn\’t this have been more interesting if each gave the other an engagement tatoo? An intricate one at that.

Maybe you should have sold the jewerly and used the proceeds for couseling. Being Married five times is an awful lot!
I think most of us are agreed – should have sold the ring and bought a bass boat
