Andrew Petersen Named Executive Vice President of Business Development for Atlas General Insurance Services

San Diego, CA, 7/2/2012 – Andrew Petersen has been named Executive Vice President of Business Development for Atlas General Insurance Services, a program administrator with offices in San Diego, San Francisco and Denver.

Andrew will have a wide range of responsibilities that include business development for new carriers, new programs, new lines of business and geographic expansion. Andrew will also work in identifying strategic acquisition targets that will enhance the Atlas platform and provide better options for its clients. Finally, Andrew will have a significant role in existing program and portfolio management.

Prior to joining Atlas, Andrew held senior positions at Guy Carpenter and then Collins Associates before it was sold to Guy Carpenter in 2009. Most recently, Andrew was Senior Vice President of Guy Carpenter in San Francisco where he was co-head of production. Additionally, Andrew focused on casualty driven reinsurance placements and has worked extensively in the workers’ compensation and MGA space.
