Charles V. Pyfrom
Pyfrom is chief marketing officer at CannGen Insurance Services, where he’s been a member of the executive team since 2017. He is tasked with oversight of all carrier/broker relations, program development/direction, as well as long-term underwriting strategy. Prior to joining CannGen, he was vice president of program management at a privately held program carrier, and he spent four years with Farmers Insurance Group in management roles.

Erich Schutz
Erich Schutz is vice president and cannabis practice leader at Jencap Specialty Insurance Services. He has been in insurance for two decades, and is an experienced excess and surplus broker who has specialized in cannabis for several years. He began his career with Beazley. He joined Jencap in 2018 and was named vice president in 2022.

Kieran J. O’Rourke
Kieran J. O’Rourke has more than 30 years of commercial underwriting, product and program development experience in the insurance industry. Prior to joining Cannasure, he was assistant vice president of property underwriting of AmTrust Financial Services Inc. O’Rourke’s career experience spans P/C underwriting, MGA underwriting for alternative energy products and alternative market product development, oversight of research and product development and directing regional commercial insurance sales for a large carrier.

Michael Hall
Michael Hall has been in and around the cannabis insurance marketplace for a number of years and has worked at all ends of the cannabis insurance distribution chain from retail agent and wholesale broker to admitted and non-admitted underwriter. He is currently the vice president and cannabis department manager for Golden Bear Insurance Co. He’s held posts at a number of large companies, including Swiss Re, Admiral and MJ Hall.
