The Covid-19 pandemic has highlighted the challenge of determining whether employees who contract the disease qualify for coverage under workers’ compensation. A new fact sheet by the National Academy of Social Insurance explores how disparities from state to state and between injuries and illnesses are playing out during this crisis, as well as some longer-term implications.
