U.S. Traffic Deaths Rise in First 9 Months of 2015

Overview

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) reports that more than 26,000 people died in traffic crashes in the first nine months of 2015, compared to the 23,796 fatalities in the first nine months of 2014. That’s a 9.3 percent rise— after several years of declines. This report analyzes the data nationally and by region.
