Authorities are investigating a string of 16 arson fires set in a Fresno, Calif., neighborhood last week.
The Fresno Bee reports crews responded to 12 burning plastic trash containers in the Pinedale area on Tuesday alone.
On Friday, firefighters responded to six blazes, including one inside an abandoned house and one in a large trash bin next to a business.
Resident Jay Cordero tells the newspaper he and his neighbors are pulling their trash containers back onto their property from the road after they are dumped to make them less likely fire targets.
