A woman suspected of torching a West Hollywood, Calif., apartment building, forcing 100 residents to flee flames, has been arrested.
Investigators say charcoal lighter fluid was splashed in one of the units of the four-story apartment building on March 4. Damage was estimated at $300,000.
Los Angeles County sheriff’s Deputy Tony Moore says in a news release that 25-year-old Samantha Scarano was arrested on Monday at a business near the burned building.
She was booked for investigation of attempted murder and is being held with bail set at $1.25 million.
Investigators say Scarano was upset with an ex-roommate.
