Officials with Teton Pass Ski Resort say the facility will not open this season because of a problem obtaining insurance for the 2011-2012 season.
The Great Falls Tribune reports that the Teton Pass website says season passes will be refunded and the ski area will open for the 2012-2013 season.
The ski area sat idle the previous two seasons until being purchased by New Zealander Nick Wood last year.
Wood says he spent $1.8 million improving the chairlift, adding runs and refurbishing the lodge.
