Three siblings arrested in Colorado following a nationwide crime spree are being identified as the primary suspects in the thefts of two cars in Utah.
The Daily Herald of Provo reports 29-year-old Lee Grace Dougherty, 26-year-old Dylan Dougherty Stanley and 21-year-old Ryan Edward Dougherty are suspected of taking two cars from people at gunpoint in Pleasant Grove Aug. 7.
Authorities say one of the stolen cars was quickly abandoned, while they never drove the second car. Instead, the gunman immediately left the car parked and fled in a white Subaru after firing two shots in the air.
The Dougherty’s were arrested in Colorado driving a white Subaru Aug. 9, and are being held on charges of attempted first-degree murder. They also face charges in Georgia and Florida.
