Authorities in Las Vegas say a construction worker has been critically hurt after an accident at a construction site that required county firefighters to pry the worker from a front-loading tractor.
Clark County fire spokesman Scott Allison said the Monday accident happened around 1 p.m. at the site of the Hustler Club southeast of the Las Vegas Strip.
Allison said the worker, identified only as a man in his early 40s, was caught in between the bucket and cab of the tractor when he was trying to raise the unit.
Allison says the man was unconscious and not breathing after emergency personnel pried him from the tractor. He was taken to University Medical Center.
A hospital spokeswoman declined to give the worker’s condition without knowing his name.
