An earthquake rattled parts of Alameda County in Northern California this week.
The U.S. Geological Survey says a quake with a preliminary magnitude of 3.7 hit around 8:27 p.m. Tuesday about three miles (five kilometers) south of Pleasanton, and about 33 miles (53 kilometers) southeast of Oakland.
A dispatcher with the Pleasanton Police Department said police had received numerous calls, but there were no reports or damage or injuries.
