$5,000 Reward Offered for Information Leading to Arrest in Calif. Arson

John Torres, special agent in charge, Los Angeles Field Division, Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF), announced that ATF is offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of the person or persons responsible for setting the Nov. 5, 2005 house fire at 5202 La Sierra in Riverside.

The house fire, in which firefighter Eduardo “Ed” Teran collapsed in full cardiac arrest while fighting the fire, has been determined to be arson. The Riverside City Arson Task Force, consisting of members of ATF and the City of Riverside Fire and Police Departments, is aggressively pursuing this case and urges anyone with information about the fire please to call (951) 358-2799 or 1-888-ATF-FIRE.

Torres stated, “ATF remains committed to bringing to justice the person or persons responsible for committing such a cowardly act.”
