California-based ProcessClaims, a provider of software connectivity and business process automation solutions for the Property and Casualty claims industry, accepted the E-Fusion award in the Office Automation Management category at the 2004 A.M. Best Co. Insurance and Technology Conference in Baltimore recently. The award recognizes innovation in insurance technology.
David Ferrara, EVP and co-founder, said that this award is especially gratifying for two reasons, “Being judged by one’s peers is always very satisfying. The judges are from carriers and vendors that really understand the importance of process improvement. Secondly, A.M. Best provides enormous credibility to an area of claims operations that has historically received little attention. We appreciate the recognition from these groups and view it as validation of our vision.”
The awards judges included Michael Edwards, chief information officer, American Skyline Insurance Co.; Robert Litt, partner, KPMG LLP Information Risk Management; Thomas Meyers, senior vice president and chief financial officer, New Jersey Manufacturers Insurance Co.; In addition, the A.M. Best Co. executives who participated in the judging were Paul Tinnirello, executive vice president and E-Fusion conference chairman.
ProcessClaims was also recently named in Deloitte’s Technology Fast 50 Rising Star and a finalist for Software Company of the Year by the Southern California Software Association.
