Montana State Fund (MSF) is sponsoring free safety trainings throughout September.
The four-hour workshop will reportedly give employers the skills and confidence they need to develop an effective written safety program at their business. The basis of the safety program will include elements from the Montana Safety Culture Act.
Topics at the training session include:
* Writing a management safety policy
* Developing a hazard prevention plan
* Developing a safety committee
* Developing an Early Return To Work program
* How to conduct safety meetings
* Establishing a new employee safety orientation
* Accident investigation
Supervisors, business owners, managers, safety committee members, workers’ compensation personnel, and insurance agents are encouraged to attend. Seminars are open to any Montana employer, not just MSF policyholders.
All trainings will take place from 8 a.m. to noon. Details and registration can be accessed on MSF’s Web site www.montanastatefund.com.
