Nevada Insurance Commissioner Alice Molasky-Arman has approved a 14.1 percent increase in professional liability rates for dentists filed by The Medical Protective Company.
Molasky-Arman approved the filing, after reportedly determining the increase is justified based on countrywide statistical data. The company offers coverage on either a claims-made or occurrence coverage form. Currently, the company insures 33 dentists in Nevada.
The revised rates are effective July 1, 2004.
