EIC of Nevada Donates $17,000 to Non-Profit Sector

December 12, 2003

Employers Insurance Company of Nevada, A Mutual Company, (EICN) is committing $17,000 to the non-profit sector. That total corporate commitment includes a $10,000 contribution to the California-based Insurance Industry Charitable Fund (IICF).

EICN is donating $7,000 to McDonald Corporation’s Ronald McDonald House. The Ronald McDonald houses in each of the seven cities where EICN and its subsidiary, Employers Compensation Insurance Company, operate division offices will equally share that donation.

“I am pleased and proud that our company is committing these donations to two highly-respected non-profit entities,” said EICN CEO Douglas Dirks. “These donations reflect our corporate commitment to play a leading role in both our industry and our communities.”

Operating in both Northern and Southern California, the IICF brings together a wide cross-section of leading insurance industry companies, and encourages non-profit donations of both time and funds. The IICF Bridge Week is an annual event wherein member companies encourage staff to participate in a variety of community projects.

The companies operating under the trade name Employers Insurance Group provide workers’ compensation insurance, claims management, loss prevention consulting, underwriting and care management services. The EIG companies include Employers Insurance Company of Nevada, A Mutual Company, a writer of workers’ compensation insurance in Nevada with offices in Reno and Henderson; Employers Compensation Insurance Company, with offices in Glendale, Newbury Park, Fresno and San Francisco, California and Boise, Idaho; and Employers Occupational Health, Inc., a provider of care management services to Nevada’s injured workers, with offices in Reno and Henderson.
