Sheriff’s deputies say a tractor-trailer containing $1 million in clothing and other items was stolen from a north Florida gas station.
The truck, but not the trailer and its contents, was found Monday in Ocala.
Alachua County Sheriff’s officials believe the truck was taken after 5 p.m. on Sunday, when the driver parked it at a gas station in Hawthorne.
The Ocala Star-Banner reports authorities used a tracking device in the truck to find it outside the Comfort Inn & Suites in Ocala.
The trailer was being used to haul clothing, wallets and books. The words “Dynamic Express” were written on both sides of the trailer, which has New Jersey license plates with the number TFX 45E.
Anyone with information is asked to call the Alachua County Sheriff’s Office.
