Two West Virginia men have been sentenced to prison terms for having a building torched in Logan and collecting a $1 million insurance settlement.
The U.S. attorney’s office says 44-yearold James Gregory Glick of Logan was sentenced to seven years and three months in prison and William Jamey Thomas of Chapmanville was sentenced to five years in prison. They received their prison terms Thursday in federal court in Charleston.
The arson scheme involved a building Glick purchased in Logan. He then worked with Thompson to obtain a $1 million policy on the property. Thompson owned an insurance agency.
They then had the building torched in February 2012.
Glick was paid the $1 million insurance policy and shared the money with his co-conspirators.
