Alabama state regulators have suspended the license of a day care center where a baby died in Marshall County.
WAAY-TV reports that the Alabama Department of Human Resources took the action against Sweet Pea Learning Academy and Daycare Center in Boaz.
A 4-month-old baby died at the center on Monday, and officials have yet to release a cause of death.
A suspension notice issued to the center says it had several violations, including placing the baby on his stomach and having items in the crib.
It also cites a failure to have a qualified person in charge on the day of the death; admitting an ill child; and making false statements to police and Human Resources.
Police initially said employees at the center were cooperating in the investigation.
