A Mississippi man has pleaded not guilty to three federal crimes charging him with fraudulently obtaining more than $97,000 for a house he claimed was his primary residence when Hurricane Katrina hit in 2005.
Anthony L. Bryan was in U.S. District Court in Gulfport Thursday. A trial was set for Dec. 3.
The Oct. 16 indictment says Bryan created a bill of sale to make it appear he owned and lived in a Bay St. Louis house when Katrina hit.
Prosecutors allege that the house was not his primary residence.
