Authorities say a volunteer firefighter in south Georgia has been arrested in connection with four house fires spanning three months.
Insurance and Fire Commissioner Ralph Hudgens says 43-year-old Johnny Ray Frisky was arrested Friday morning and charged with four counts of first-degree arson.
Frisky is accused of setting three unoccupied homes on fire in the Lakeland, Ga., between July and September this year. Authorities believe Frisky set one of the homes on fire twice.
Investigators believe Frisky set the homes on fire to gain favor within the community.
Frisky is being held at the Lanier County Jail. There is no indication whether Frisky has an attorney.
