Fire investigators are trying to find the cause of a blaze that sent smoke billowing over much of Atlanta.
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports that more than 60 firefighters were needed to knock down the flames and keep the fire from spreading to nearby businesses in the city’s midtown area.
Atlanta Fire Rescue Capt. Marian McDaniel tells CBS Atlanta that no one was inside the Doors Unlimited business when firefighters arrived Monday evening. She said firefighters had to force their way through a locked gate to get close enough to battle the blaze.
McDaniel said fire was mostly fueled by garage doors stored inside the building.
Authorities said one firefighter was taken to Atlanta Medical Center to be checked for heat exhaustion and was expected to recover.
